So I will compile a long list of questions related to game mechanics, background of the authors, historical questions etc, and Konrad and his co-author Rafał Szwelicki will write me their answers. The interview will then be published on this blog.
If you have any question that you would like to ask the authors of By Fire & Sword, just post them it in the comments below along with your name/nick so that I can credit you with the question in the published interview.
I figure I will leave the door open for questions until Sunday, and email the document to the guys over at Wargamer this coming Monday.
I guess majority of questions might be 'when BFaS will be published in English' ;)
ReplyDeleteHaha! Yes, no doubt about it, it's the standard question when I post battle reports :-D
DeleteBut hopefully there will be other stuff as well. And I usually have a long list of questions that are both general and rules/game specific.
I'm looking forward to read it, even though I'm 'inside man' ;)
DeleteI second (third?) the request for a date for the english rules
DeleteWe still don't have exact date but it will be this year.
DeleteI have a question: what nations do you have in mind to create miniatures and rules for in the future?
ReplyDeleteI think I can answer that, as member of team :) We currently working on 'Deluge' rulebook, that will introduce three more 'main' armies:
Delete- Transylvania
- Brandenburg
- Imperial Corps in Poland
There will be also two 'smaller' armies (like Courland that is available - currently only in Polish - on our website) available as pdf:
- City of Gdańsk (Danzig)
- Danemark
That will keep as busy for a while ;) also we will be releasing those minis that are still missing from main book.
Best regards
Michał 'Kadrinazi' Paradowski

There is a smaller format already. It is "Patrol/Raid" scale. My Swedish patrol/scout unit is about 16-18 bases strong.

DeleteDownloads' 2-5 are free raid lists in addition to those in a rulebook. Official, fully historical. All are in Polish but lists themselves are quite readable. This is something You can expect in future. Many even starting boxes for few more interesting lists? Who knows... Maby Anatoli will ask about raid sets additional to basic starters. One thing is sure. Wint... Bf&s is comming.
thanks
Deleteyou can prepare a book for a french wargamer :))
Are there any plans to produce figures in 28mm scale? Do the rules adapt easily to this scale?
ReplyDeleteNo, there are no plans for 28 mm minis - as Wargamer is focusing only on our own range of 15 mm. In regards to adapting rules - quite hard to tell, I do not know anyone who tried it ;)
